ATHLETIC CONTRACT MYERS PARK HIGH SCHOOL 2007-2008 SWIM TEAM
The following requirements must be met for eligibility:
1. Attend 5 of the 6 practices a week during the regular season(meets count as one practice). 2. Attend ALL of the regular season swim meets and stay to cheer and support the team for the ENTIRE meet. 3. Wear team issued swim suit, swim cap and T-shirt for all swim meets. Team issued T-shirts and sweatshirts will be worn at school on days we have swim meets. 4. Attend team sponsored social functions. 5. Attend ALL post season swim meets that you qualify for. 6. Exhibit good sportsmanship and team spirit when representing the team(ie remain in the pool till everyone has finished, shake your competitors hand, etc) 7. Arrive early for swim practice and swim meets. If you are on time you are late, if you are early you are on time. 8. Keep up to date on team information via email, team webpage, parent email, announcements on school TV and intercom. The following are the requirements for earning a varsity letter in swimming: 1. Attend 95% of all swim practices 2. Attend ALL of the regular season swim meets and swim a minum of one event per meet. 3. stay to cheer and support the team for the ENTIRE meet. 4. Attend all of the team social functions and be an active, positive and supportive team member during all swimming related activities. I acknowledge that I have read the above and understand the eligibility requirements, team expectations and requirements for earning a varsity letter. I am also committed to upholding the team expectations and will do my part in making this a fun, exciting and winning season. Parents, swimmers and divers,I would like to welcome you to the 2008 – 2009 swim and dive season at Myers Park High School. I know I am not alone when I say how excited I am about the upcoming season. The first day of practice will be Monday, October 27th. The master practice schedule will be created at the coaches meeting on October 6th. I will then send that out via email to all the parents and athletes that I have on record and leave copies of them at the front desk of MPHS. The practice schedule will also be posted, under MPHS, on http://myersparkmustangs.ihigh.com/swimming_and_diving.html website. Please check this site periodically for new information.
